Support Autism with Neurofeedback
Neurofeedback supports efficient brain function through computer- based brain training exercises. Although the technology is quite sophisticated, most clients find the training fun and relaxing.
All you have to do is sit back, relax, and watch a movie, video, or listen to music that supports optimal brainwave function.
Neurofeedback training is a specialized form of learning. We help your brain learn new, healthier ways of thinking by taking advantage of your brain’s innate ability to learn. With practice and the proper feedback, your brain will naturally improve. What is new in neurofeedback is that it is guided by actual real-time assessments of your brainwave activity during a training session.
During a 30 to 60-minute training session, your brainwave activity is continuously compared to optimal levels. If your brainwaves drop out of the optimal range, the computer generates a feedback signal that you can see – the movie dims and the sound drops in volume. Over time, the feedback supports healthy brain function and communication with the body.
In a typical neurofeedback session, with feedback every half second, the brain can experience over 600-800 learning opportunities. That’s a lot of repetition and practice. Brain science has shown that repetitive exercise of brain networks helps reshape the brain, making it more efficient.
The new neural pathways created by this repetitive feedback remain long after the last training session. Just like learning to ride a bike, you never forget!
